Terms of Use for the Visualization and Material Cultures of the Heavens: Image Database Eurasia and North Africa (4000 BCE - 1700 CE)

The image database is provided exclusively for scientific, non-commercial purposes in research and teaching. Commercial use and the sharing of images with third parties are prohibited without prior written consent from the project.

In the public section, images may be used in accordance with the applicable license conditions indicated for each image (in particular, proper attribution). In the non-public section, after logging in, only viewing (via the ResourceSpace website) of the images is permitted; downloading (incl. screenshots, etc.) of the image files is expressly prohibited.

A right to use is not granted. Any alternation, modification, copying, distribution, training of ai tools, or linking and any use that extends the pure viewing is prohibited.

By creating an account, you agree to these Terms of Use. You are responsible for complying with these conditions. The project reserves the right to suspend the account and remove content without notice. Your right to use the account is automatically terminated, if you are not using the account strictly for scientific, non-commercial purposes in research and teaching. The project disclaims all liability for any use made by users. The user indemnifies the project from any damages, claims, or liabilities, due to third-party claims resulting directly from your use, negligence, or breach of contract.

Upon notification of copyright or other legal infringements, a take-down policy will be applied.
